Is it wrong to want to die

Is it wrong to want to die? Because I want to die; not now; but eventually; and it is not fair to the dieing and the dead that i should want to die. I take up there space there life's there continuation. I don't understand this; I want to die; the darkness that I crave to envelope me in oblivion. I want to become one with the night for life to end and see what is beyond; but is there really a beyond a heaven; i think life will start anew. Its not fair that i as one that had a good life would wish to die; and yet there are those who are dieing; so young; too young; too soon. Do i not just take up there space in this world. I want to die; eventually but not now; eventually; I want to die; because the space I take up is some how unbearable; then why am i still hear to feel so much; too much wishing I would not feel so much.

While the Emancipation Proclamation marked the end of slavery in the U.S., it did little to address the racism that remained. Left unchecked, that racism, like a weed, grew and its roots permeated almost all sectors of American culture spreading from the southern white population throughout the local and state governments south of the Mason-Dixon Line. Jim Crow laws provided legal loopholes that skirted the spirit of the Emancipation Proclamation and they gave legal cover to those who longed for the pre-Civil War/Reconstruction era. The insidious nature of Jim Crow easily converted bigotry and intolerance from vile vices to prized virtues. Although Jim Crow laws were settled by the 1954 court case, Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka,†¦show more content†¦This attitude resulted in an assortment of legislation that spanned many states throughout the south; they included statutes governing education, the use of public facilities, dining, cohabitation, health care, transporta tion, personal relationships, hygiene and even sports (Randall). These laws so completely engulfed black consciousness that even accusing a white person of lying, or of being deceitful in any way could place a negro in jail (Pilgrim), or worse, dangling from the business end of a noose; these tactics served to crush the spirit of the American Negro. While if this same approach were applied by white people against other white people, they would have been considered illegal, immoral and inhumane; the second-class citizenry that Black America had been received no such indignation. By the time Plessy v. Ferguson, the statue that established legal inequality, was overturned by Brown v. Board of Education in 1954, several decades of degradation and intimidation had already stripped the newly found dignity from the Negro population; In essence, Jim Crow had run its course and served its purpose. Paul Tillich, a Guide for Christianity within a Pluralistic Society Introduction In this paper I will discuss the significance of Paul Tillich’s theology within our current pluralistic society. I hope to accomplish this by specifically addressing how certain concepts within his Theology, when embraced or applied, can begin to relieve western Christianity’s concern for remaining â€Å"relevant†. I will also present some of Tillich’s theological ideas concerning his Christology, characteristics of a symbol, and concept of God as a symbol. I. The Christology of Tillich: Jesus as the Christ Tillich suggests in the article â€Å"A Reinterpretation of the Doctrine of the Incarnation† that Christians do not have a purely historiographical interest in the man known as Jesus, but a thriving interest in the Christ. He elaborates by saying the reports about Jesus of Nazareth found in the gospels are the reports of Jesus as the Christ, not just a man. Tillich finds that mere historical research cannot tear down the foundation of Christianity because there is immense power in the symbol of â€Å"Christ† (a topic later discussed in the essay). Tillich, despite what many assume, consistently presented Jesus as the Christ. Growing up as a young adult is hard enough as it is, playing sports should not be a challenge for them, but a fun environment filled with growth and learning. Unfortunately the youth today have to deal with more than just competing at sports. Youth sports should be focusing on challenging their strengths and building character, but this is not the case. The challenges that the youth in sports today are going through deals with three different categories. The first is parents that are out of control and seem to take watching their children playing sports too far. In some cases not letting the kids just have fun playing, but have alternative motives for their future in sports. The darker side of youth sports, is parents that are emotional abusive and tend to bully more than support their children. The second category in challenges that the youth face in sports is the dangers young athletes may encounter playing a contact sport. The number one danger is injuries and how this will take a toll on their bodies as they mature. The other is eating disorders, improper dieting, and the pressure they put on themselves to perform at a top level. The last category is the violence in youth sports. Unfair treatment during games, may lead to off the field violence. Also the violence they are encountering during the game. The report includes a brief overview of the organization and different problem regarding its culture. It also includes a detailed overview of the policy that should be implemented in the organization in order to solve and manage cross-cultural issues. Culture greatly influences the team performance especially when the team consists of people from the different cultural background. This report contains some possible solutions of problems regarding multicultural teams in the context of Business Objects. Wilkie Collins, throughout his life, was haunted by what one may call a second self. As a young man he confided to Percy Fitzgerald ‘how he was subject to a curious ghostly influence, having often the idea that â€Å"someone was standing behind him† and that he was tempted to look round constantly’. This second self Collins spoke of alludes to the double identity he maintained and explored in his life as well as in his work. William Wilkie Collins was born January 8, 1824 to William John and Harriet Collins. Though it is supposed that his birth may have been a difficult one, as he was marked by a permanent deformation on his head, he enjoyed a rather happy childhood, his parents being blissfully in love and financially comfortable. Having traveled extensively around England and other countries in Europe, the family finally returned to London and Collins attended a private boarding school. Subsequent to leaving the school his is apprenticed to Edmund Antrobus, a tea merchant, it is during his apprenticeship that he publishes his first work of fiction, The Last Stage Coachman. In May of 1846 Collins enters Lincoln Inn to study law, although he never exercised a career of the practice, he was able to use his acquired knowledge in writing his later novels. Two years later, the death of his father prompts Collins to write his first book, Memoirs of the Life of William Collins, Esq., Ra,. Not long thereafter Collins becomes acquainted with Charles Dickens who would become a close friend and professional contemporary. In January 1859 Wilkie Collins meets Caroline Graves, and although Collins becomes associated with Martha Rudd and fathers three illegitimate children with her, his relationship with Caroline Graves is said to inspired Collins to write The Woman in White. The Woman in White is a story of double identity. The innocent and frail character Laura Fairley is eerily doubled with the distraught and disturbed Anne Catherick. After Laura enters into marriage with Sir Percival Glyde , he in order to extort her inheritance, has Anne Catherick removed, under which circumstances she suspiciously dies, and Laura Fairley is remanded to the asylum in which Anne Catherick was once confined. Caroline Graves had concocted many identities of her own in which she used to disguise her poor and rather ambiguous past.
